Namebeads Tutorial

1.  Open a 400x400 Transparent image.
2.  Use the text tool with the font you wish size 48 and up.
3.  Color the font the way you want. Using gradients or Blade Pro.
4.  Go to layers and add a new raster layer. Click on your tube icon and bring up the jewel you are using.  The size depends on your tastes. Adjust and place anywhere on your name. Usually best to start at one end and move across.
5  Continue adding new layers with a jewel on each layer. You don't have to be exact as we will fix that later.
6.  When you have the jewels in the general area you want click on the mover tool.
7.  Click on the jewel you wish to adjust and move it to where you want. Do this with all the jewels so you have a nice arch or drape. If each jewel is on its own layer only that one will move.
8.  Now the fun part.  Moving the jewels behind your name.  Make sure the layer palette view is open. Your name will be layer one and at the bottom of the list. Look at your sig and decide which jewels should be behind the letters. If you click on that jewel the line in the palette view will highligh.  With your mouse left click and hold the line and drag it below layer one. Continue with all the beads you wish to be behind the name.
9.  Add a new layer and place your dangling shoe or jewel.
10. Go to layers /merge/merge visable. Add a drop shadow if you wish and save as a jgp.  If you wish to save as a transparent  gif do not add a drop shadow.
